The first Hermetic Principle postulates that the Universe is Mental
“The ALL is Mind”
Every outward manifestation and appearance that we see and think of as the material Universe, the phenomena of life, matter, energy, and everything else that we pick up with our five senses, is Infinite, unknowable, undefinable, Universal Living Mind.
It also explains that all of the phenomenal world is entirely a Mental Creation of THE ALL. Further, it’s all subject to the Laws of Created Things. In other words, everything we can see, touch or even think about, falls under the control of the fixed Laws of Creation. By learning, studying and applying these Universal Principles you can consciously cause certain effects in your life to take place.
One student of Hermetic Philosophy, Wallace D Wattles, proclaims that there is a thinking stuff from which all things are made that permeates, penetrates and fills all of space and time.
A thought in this thinking stuff causes the thing to be produced. We, as thinking creatures, can form thoughts in our minds and by impressing our thoughts into this formless substance, can cause the things we think about to be created. To do this requires thinking and acting in a very specific way.
What if?
Given that our minds are transmitters for communication with Infinite Intelligence, it follows that if you could amplify and boost the power of the signals you are transmitting and receiving, you would be able to magnify and accelerate the creation of the things you think about. The Mastermind is your amplifier.
Napoleon Hill, another advocate of Hermetic Wisdom, claims that power is essential for the accumulation of wealth. Power refers to organized effort, sufficient to enable an individual to transmute desire into its monetary equivalent.
The definition
The Mastermind may be defined as: coordination of knowledge and organized effort by two or more people, who work together, toward a definite end, in the spirit of perfect harmony. Hill claims that no one can have great power or achieve great success without availing themselves of the Mastermind.
Power is required for the accumulation of money!
The human mind is a form of energy, a part of it being spiritual in nature. When the minds of two or more people are coordinated in the spirit of harmony, the spiritual units of energy of each mind form an affinity, which constitutes the psychic phase of the Mastermind.
Think of your brain as an electric battery. When a group of batteries are connected, the power provided is more than the energy from a single battery. Your brain functions in a similar way. When a group of brains are coordinated in the spirit of harmony they provide more thought-energy than a single brain, just like batteries.

So well thought out, and so true! I’ve seen it in my own life as we all have at one point or another. After all, by impressing your thoughts with desire for a new house, and new car, a new pair of skis, creating a family, you name it but all start with us impressing our thoughts to accomplish these desires and couples with action we receive these desires. Obviously we all know that if we haven’t thought about something we won’t ever do it/have it/make it. You have to think it first. But how many of us have thought that concept through to the point of realizing that if you think it, you can create it? That thinking about it is far more than random? The possibilities are endless!
