Does money come to you?

If you had a conveyor belt that delivered a continuous, unending stream of gold coins directly to you, would you ever consciously choose to flip the switch, shut it down and stop the flow?
Sounds like a stupid question, right?
We all want to believe we would never choose to turn off the stream of treasure coming to us, yet, almost all of us do at one time or another.
After my late wife died of cancer, I turned my back on my conveyor and it took years to understand what I had to do to turn it back on.
In a word; gratitude
Getting it flowing is like any other process. It takes following certain steps. It’s a formula. First, you need to know that there is one intelligent substance from which all things proceed. Next, you have to believe that this substance can give you everything you desire. Third, you relate mentally and emotionally with this mysterious substance with a feeling of deep and profound gratitude.
The more gratitude you feel and express for the good things coming to you, the more you attract what you want into your life. The better you get at it, the faster you generate results.
It reminds me of a pump
We have a waterfall in the backyard, but it’s not natural. It flows because we have a pump on the far end of the pond that sucks in water, runs it through a filter, through a long buried pipeline that goes up a hill and then dumps a continuous stream of water over the rocks, then cascades into the pond.
Every once in a while, I need to shut the pump down for one reason or another. Sometimes the pond freezes over, sometimes the filters need cleaning and every once in a while the pump needs to be serviced. Obviously, turning off the pump shuts off the waterfall and all the water flows back downhill and the pipes empty out.
When I plug the pump back in, the waterfall doesn’t start flowing right away. How do you know the water will start flowing again? There’s no visible sign that the water is coming. It has to fill the filter, get pumped back up the hill and fill the pipeline before the waterfall begins to flow again. Because we know the pump is running again, we take it on faith that the water will flow.
That’s precisely what happens with the gratitude pump.
Attitude matters
If your gratitude is strong and constant, your conveyor will run continuously, but if you slip, like I did, you need to take steps to get it running again. One of those steps is to have complete and unshakeable faith the good things will begin to come to you again.
A very powerful way of doing this is to precede every affirmation with the words…”I am so happy and grateful now that I am…”
Here’s something I say everyday. I’m so happy and grateful now that my body is lean, supple and muscular at 155 pounds with health and fitness at an all time peak.
When I started that affirmation I weighed 190 pounds. This morning the scale told me I’m now at 158. I am so happy and grateful now!
If you want to keep working on attracting more of what you want into your life I highly recommend you put yourself in the flow and do it with other like minded people. Here’s one place to do that. If Not Now, When?
Onward!
This seems especially appropriate on Veteran’s Day when we are all so grateful for their service!
